We Hold These Truths brings people together to share meals and watch short plays about American identity. Groups of about 10 people eat together, watch a performance by local playwrights, and talk about what America means to them. Trained helpers guide the conversations to help people listen and understand different viewpoints. The plays are created from real stories shared by community members. Cities, schools, businesses, churches, and community groups can host these events. It doesn't have to be dinner - breakfast, lunch, or coffee works too. Over 15,000 people have joined these events, and most feel more connected and hopeful afterward.
