This is a 2.5-hour community meeting where people share dinner and talk about local problems. First, you eat dinner and chat with others at your table. Then everyone sits together while 5 volunteers discuss the issue from different viewpoints. The audience can share their thoughts too. After 45 minutes of discussion, you go back to your table for dessert and more talking. This helps neighbors work together to solve community problems instead of fighting about them. You learn to listen to different opinions and find solutions everyone can agree on.
“Do not wait. The time will never be just right. Start where you stand, and work whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along. ”
